happy to say that the event has been going on for a month now and well as time goes by I am left wondering  what ppl think of my event....  Seems that each week I have less ppl come out and starting to wonder whether or not ppl don't enjoy the event as much, or whether it is just that ppl would rather be lvling or going out to run dungeon.....

on that note If there are any ideas on what can be done different please don't be shy I can take it,  I just want to know how you all feel about it...

Its not you.  Folks have issues with AvA.  AFAIK, ZO is aware of the problems and planning to address them, so hopefully things will pick back up over the coming months.

I am having a blast running these with you. It seems that ingame time for a lot of people has dwindled considerably since the 30 day point has been reached. I am sure work, school and real life has encroached on game time for a lot, I know it has for me. Summer is also upon us which draws more and ore to the great outdoors more often. Last nights may have been smaller but was extremely productive. I mean we even had the scroll for a short time. Keep up the good leadership!

Lots folks are probably still leveling. Recent fixes help but the vampire VR10s wiping large group probably have done a lot of damage to general PvP participation. And now that EP is underdog in Hopesfire not many new comers either.

I appreciate ANY groups running AvA and by your leading one, that's just all the more experience learning the tactics and strategy. I also have a tendency to only group in AvA but would also like to group for dungeons but they are scheduled at times I cannot participate in. Anyways, please don't be discouraged. At least I understand I'm gonna die and gonna have to feed my horse before starting because I'm gonna have to travel quite a bit because we are the underdogs.

Perhaps we can also do other quests out there too? Or gather skyshards along the way?

Thanks Doreth for your willingness to lead.

I love all AvA events, if I can be awake and partner doesn't want to do anything else, but he usually is even more eager to do AvA than me, I will be there with Orvilaf Sunbringer! >:3

What I do notice is that some people want to level up before facing the vet 10 bananas (AD) and smurfs (DC), get frustrated and leave if things are not done right away (like taking camps, resources, battling players). Don't be discouraged, for your voice and energy is what keep us going.

well thank you everyone, glad to hear ppl are having fun..  hopefully by next week I'll at least be a VR1 and be able to spearhead the charge even more so then before....

as for the VR10 bananas, well they can be a pain but it seems every time we face them we manage to inflict more and more dmg on them...  they use to run with a group of 5-8,  now they roll with a group of 15-25..... there strength is being match the more we practice and understand mechanics and well the higher lvl we are the harder we are to kill....  they are at the top, we will catch up to them in no time.....

next weeks event we'll challenge them at there door step, first thing on my list is to destroy every wall on black boot and bloodmayne....  sounds like fun to me anyways :)  Pookha  bring you DJ we'll need some cavalry charge theme to get the blood going....

There are a few problems with AvA right now, one and I think the biggest is the way the game bolsters you. It doesn't take your stat points or gear into consideration. It only boost you up to level 50 if you where wearing nothing and never spent a stat point. So a level 35 is still a level 35 just with more health. I'm not really happy with how they handled it to be quite honest.

The other reason is the brick wall called VR 10's. Getting steam rolled all the time an unable to do any thing other than be a AP battery for them isn't fun. If the bolster system was handled different or they did something different with VR's then it might not be so bad, but right now you might as well be the ant to their boot.

Doreth, I would love to go out with you but I haven't yet done it, mostly because I make a point of participating in Fog and Pookha's AvA events. Since your event is the day after Fog's, I often have AvA fatigue and/or am thinking "man, I need to level up so I'm not just a speedbump to those VR10s!" So while I'm interested, I have never participated.

In addition, as others have noted, this is around the 30 day mark, so there are a number of people who will be not subscribing, and so numbers will be going down naturally. I've seen this in ALL the events I participate in - week 1 Pookha's event had 4+ groups, but yesterday there were just a bit under 2 full groups. So that's a decrease of 50% in the 4 weeks it's been going on.

Plus, as mentioned above, some people do get a bit discouraged from being steamrolled by VR10s. I doubt the decrease in numbers is due to anything you're doing wrong, I'd say it's more a natural evolution of the guild population.

Well I can't say anything about your event really, as I have only really participated in on day of AvA. First off being east coast I like the idea of an earlier event run, as I am usually off to bed when both of fog's events start.  However for me Wednesday night is really not good as I will usually log off earlier that night if I am on at all, due to my work week being Thursday and Friday, and both are ten hour days.

However, i also holding off a little on AvA till after I am in the veteran levels for part of the same reason many have mentioned.  I mostly heal which would be useful no matter the level, however getting to higher levels or at least to 50 plus will allow me to take full advantage of my gear and stats to one survive but also provide better support.

That being said I do look forward to events, but like many I am simply waiting till later levels before going in.

I've been out for everyone of your events. I love it. I think the beating we're taking from AD is wearing people down in AvA. Not yours but all of them. Heck even the Fog Zerg had problems with those guys last weekend.

so as the week went on and my mind aimed at leading my next AvA event I came up with a new moto ( posted just above my sig), a little something to remind me that as the leader my job is to point the way and that my eagerness and strength to challenge those in our way, encourages those behind me to follow.....

hope to see you all Wednesday as I bang on AD's door.
