What are the families rules regarding inviting friends to events and giving out RaidCall info?

I have a close friend who lives in the Seattle area and the Friday night CludGaiscioch event at 11:00pm PST, would be perfect for him as he can not play until his wife and all the kids are in bed and asleep.

He has been playing MMO's since the launch of EQ1 and was very active and happy playing DAoC for many years. He is in the Ebonheart Pack and in a small guild and hoping to find some of the past glory of the battle field. He has experience with Skyrim yet ESO is new to him as us all and he's just turned 10 and still a beginner.

I have not promoted Gaiscioch to him but he asked what guild I was in and of course I told him about the family and he has never asked again. I have not mentioned the event to him yet at all.

So... My question is... Can we invite him to join the fun with Fog and give him the RaidCall info?

Thanks!

Tuz

I'm not an official, but I have heard Fog say that our AVA events are public, non-exclusive and community wide. The event usually goes off in the public section of raidcall as well, the area any guest can join. While you might want to wait for some official answer, I would guess it won't be an issue.

Yes...  Inclusion is what we do, but I wouldn't push the family on him, if we are a fit for him, then he will ask to be included.  (6711 have to date)

edit: to clarify, let him know about the event and so on, but people have a tendency to ask us when they are ready to join.

Invite anyone you like. I just ask that they respect the PG rating in all rooms other than the pubs and 18+ channels.

Regarding recruiting. Remember the first test of a Gaiscioch is the test of initiative.  They have to want to be in the family and request to be part of it before they join. We don't push ourselves on others. Where most guilds recruit by push recruiting we recruit by pull recruiting. We shine bright and those who like our style will come to join us.

One should never have to actually go out and recurit ,   The best recuirtment tool is letting your guilds actions and how your members act, and treat others on your server in and outside of your guild , reflects the guild as a whole . all the guilds  I have been in never actively Recurited but we always had a long list of people wanting to join .

Same as when before i joined any of those guilds I would see how they acted in region chat, treated others while out questing or grinding mobs, and normally i`d group with a few of them members to see how they treated their guild members but also random pugs  that`s weren`t apps but  just  a random pickup group for exp.

As far as i know all our events our open to the server and anyone who wants to go can  as long as they follow general rules over chat and stuff .

Joining a  guild is easy  anyone can join a guild ....  but joining the right guild for you that is the hard part .   If your guild is  the right  guild they will seek you out .

I wish we had guild tags or some way to identify guild members the user ID is stupid, as the rosster doesn`t list character names , and i can be standing /questing right by a guilde and not even know he is a guilde due to bad game desgin.

even EQ back in 99 had a better chat interface lol their is clunky as well .
