Video guide on the second boss of the Stronghold raid wing:

There is an option at the beginning of the video to skip forward to the boss fight.

Here is a link to Dulfy's text guide:

An important task in the Keep Construct fight is pushing the Construct Core to gather ley rifts:

Contrary to the Dulfy guide which suggests that players use their auto attacks to push the Core, this guide recommends disabling auto attack which is probably the safer route as you reduce the possibility of accidentally pushing the Core into the red circle prematurely ending this phase.

A tip that might help you as well is to pair a Mesmer with your core kicker. The added pull helps immensely if your group is struggling to keep the adds under control and from accidentally hitting the core if it drifts to close.

If you meet yourself on the testing track, don't make eye contact. Lab boys tell me that'll wipe out time. Entirely.

Some Keep Construct videos from the point of view of specific professions so you can watch the rotations used in the fight.

Druid PoV showing the player pushing the Construct Core with his staff.

Guardian PoV - In this video the locations where the green circles appear have been identified with a marker so I take this to indicate that the green circles will always appear in the same location on the floor.

Soren, thanks for the tip.  I'm not sure what two raid event leaders are planning so I'm just posting some resources for Stronghold since we have been doing the Escort event.

Our Sunday raid has started on the Keep Construct boss, so I'm going to post some tips from the video guide and Dulfy's guide.

The video is in my first post.  I recommend watching the video to become familiar with the mechanics.

"Starting at 9:40 on the timer, two mesmer projections will spawn from on statues on opposite sides of the room and become fixated on a random player."

"...the player being fixated will have a purple icon above their head and see a message displayed across their screen – You have been fixated."

"Players should pay extra attention for this fixation mechanic and move away from each other to prevent the projections from merging."

"You can see where the next Mesmer Projection will spawn next since the statue they will spawn from glow in a bright light. This give you a good idea of where to move the boss so you can AoE down the spawning projection."

Once the mesmer projections spawn, the raid should stop attacking the Keep Construct and focus on killing the projections.  Ideally, the tank will drag the Keep Construct over to where the first projection has spawned and the raid group will then kill the projection to remove one stack of the Xera's Embrace buff.  Once the first projection is eliminated, the raid has to kill the second projection which will then cause the Keep Construct to get a Defiance bar.

See https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Defiance_Bar  for a description of each profession's control skills used to break a Defiance bar.

Killing both mesmer projections and removing both stacks of the KC's Xera Embrace buff will trigger the Construct Core phase.

"Construct Core Phase is only encountered if you remove Keep Construct’s Xera’s Embrace buff and then break his breakbar. During this phase the first thing you will see is 3 green circles split across the room. Each green circle will have a Xera’s Phantasm standing on it trying to protect the core. All you need to do is to have 2 player or more standing on each green circle and the Phantasm will be destroyed once the green circle times out. Failing to do so will result in a raid wipe."

Watching the various Keep Construct videos, I've noticed that the green circles will appear in the same location.  Players who are fixated must avoid running to the same green circle.

"Construct Core will be visible and players can move it around by using their attacks. Five Unstable Ley Rift will also spawn around the room with an outer red ring enveloping the room. The goal here is moving the Construct Core into the Unstable Ley Rifts by hitting it. Each Unstable Ley Rift touched and destroyed by the Construct Core will cause the Construct to gain a debuff that increase your damage by 75% per stack in a later burn phase."

The raid leader may assign one or two players to move the Construct Core to gather the Ley Rifts.  All other players should stay away from the Construct Core to avoid accidentally hitting it outside the red circle which will end the Construct Core phase.  The video guide recommends that the players moving the Construct Core turn off Auto-attack.  Soren suggested pairing a mesmer with the player pushing the Core.

"Burn Phase follows immediately after the Construct Core Phase. Depending on how many stacks of debuffs the Construct get from the Construct Core Phase, you could be doing as much as 5×75% more damage to the Construct so all your big DPS cooldowns should be saved for this."

Radiant and Crimson Phantasms

Depending on your DPS, you may not see much of this mechanic but it is worth mentioning as doing it incorrectly can result in a raid wipe. Radiant and Crimson Phantasms will spawn from time to time and they all need to be killed under a certain time limit. If you don’t kill them within the time limit, they will explode and cause massive raid wide damage. Radiant Phantasms will have a white attunement icon above their head and Crimson ones will have a red icon. Players in the raid will also get a white or red attunement icon above their head and they can only damage the Phantasms with the same color as their attunement.

You need to either kill these phantasms quick before they blow up the raid or you push the fight quickly into the Construct Core Phase which will cause these Phantasms to despawn.
